So I had my first Chinese test on Tuesday, got it back today and I did well by any standard as far as I'm concerned. I got a 93 (out of a hundred), which just so happened to be the highest grade in the class. I would call that "feichang hao" (very, very good). Just had to brag myself up a bit.

ReplyDeleteFeliz Navidad! (That's French for "way to go" isn't it?)
ReplyDeleteYour mom's comment made me wonder. What made you choose China as opposed to maybe France or Italy?
ReplyDeleteCan't help asking questions. Hope you don't mind.

Hay Andrew, In my book anything over 90 is more than commendable - so, congratulations!! Talked at lenth with Mom after church yesterday (3/15) and I can tell you that she's proud as a peacock!! You obviously have chosen a great country for your student exchange. How did you manage that? We think you were divinely guided! We can't wait for your return to the states, and guess what that means???? Yep, Jonathan will ask you to address the congregation - wow, yippee, etc. We want to hear from you, Andrew, all about your experience as an exchange student; we can hardly wait!
ReplyDeleteIn the meantime, learn a lot and stay well!!
Peace and love,
